Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Pastel Shades

I am an absolute sucker for ANYTHING in pastel shades, dark colours just do not suit me, and I'm so excited for summer time that I just adore the colours associated with it. So obviously, when I saw these bad boys in the draws at work before they were ready to be sold (and the fact they were 2 for £6) I just had to have them. I got the shades 404 Sugar Apple which is a pretty minty green/blue colour, and 402 Rose Hip which is my absolute favourite polish that I have, I'ts a really subtle baby pink. They don't chip easy, and they don't take long to dry at all, I've found that applying a base coat before hand, (I use the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Strengthener) makes the colour go on a lot bolder, whereas without a base coat you have to apply a few more coats of the polish. Hope all that rambling made sense!

I GOT THE JOB!

Hello everyone! I'm so so excited about this post, yesterday I got the email which I've been dreading receiving, but luckily, I got the job as cabin crew!! I'm just going to talk through my assessment process for anybody thinking of applying for Easyjet or anyone awaiting their assessment day.

Ok, so basically, after completing your online application and short assessment, if you're successful, you will then be invited to an assessment day, in my case, the assessment day was within 3 days of receiving my email. At the assessment day there is about 40+ of you, which can be quite daunting but if you get chatting with some of them, it becomes much more relaxed.

What to wear?
Ladies: Pencil skirt, blouse, tights, court shoes and a blazer. Or a smart dress (midi dresses are fine) with a blazer, or cardigan, tights and court shoes. Girls, your best bet is to have your hair up in donut ring, or in a neat pony tail, they like to imagine how you'd look in the uniform. Minimal, natural make up and nicely groomed nails.
Men: Smart suit, hair nice and neat.

What does the day involve?
8:30am: Meet other canditates, get shown to the assessment room and sat in groups of four.
9:00am: Watch 2 short presentation on the companies history and what the day will involve.
10:00am: Break.
10:20am: Activity in your groups of four, in the activity you are given three different ways the airline could bring more customers to their services, as a team you decide which is the best idea, you are shown information, statistics, costs and other things to help you decide.
11:00am: Second group activity, this ones a bit more fun, you get given a ruler, some blue tac, 4 sheets of A4 paper, and a pencil, you have to make a tunnel to transport a ping pong ball, there's a few rules with it as well but I won't go into too much detail. The interviewers don't really care about the outcome of the task, but about your teamwork.
11:15am: Sales task! In my eyes this was the worst and most nerve-racking part of the day, you get given a list of products, you have 10 minutes to produce a PA (personal announcement) on this product, you then annouce it to the rest of your team.
11:30am: Break while the interviewers talk about your performance.
12:00pm: You all get called back into the assessment room, the interviewers then read out a list of names, these people have to leave the room to be told their assessment is over and they haven't made it to the second part of the day.
12:05pm: You then all get given a one to one interview time slot, you have up untill your slot to prepare for your interview, have lunch and do whatever you like really.

What does the one on one interview involve?
In my interview the lady asked me these question:
What do you know about the history of the company?
Why do you want to be Cabin Crew?
Why have you chosen EasyJet?
What do you think the job involves?
Give an example of when you persuaded someone to see your point of view?
Give an example of a difficult time at work which you resolved?

TIPS FOR THE WHOLE DAY
-Make sure you stand out
-Don't be too overpowering and bossy in group tasks
-Make sure you give your opinion
-Give praise to others in your group activity (good idea, well done)
-Keep smiling, be happy and bubbly
-Ask questions, it makes you look more eagre
-In your one on one, be chatty, don't treat it like an interview
-Don't ask about salary
-Do research into the history of the company, and current facts
-Relax, be yourself, don't panic!

After you're assessment day, you will receive an email with 7-10 days, this will tell you whether you were successful in securing a place in training or not. If you are successful, you will have to complete 3 weeks of training at either Luton Airport, or Gatwick Airport. 3 weeks of accommodation is payed for you, depending on how far from each airport you live.

If you have an upcoming assessment, even if its with a different airline, don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, I'm sure most assessment days are pretty similar.
See you soon!!

No Make up Sunday

Hey everyone! Now I don't know about where you are, but down here on the coast it has been THE most gorgeous day ever, shame I had to spend most of  it working, boooo! But anyway, whenever its slightly warm or sunny  I always feel like I shouldn't wear make up, I should just let my skin enjoy the sunshine, so today I had a no make up day! I obviously didn't go to work with a completely bare face, that would scare away the customers, so I used these few products:

-Garnier BB cream in Light
-Garnier Tinted Eye Roll On in Light
-Gosh BB Skin Perfecting Kit
-Blistex Lip Brilliance

I think I'm going to start having more no make up days, it makes me feel nice and fresh, but whenever I start not wearing make up everyday I kind of get addicted to not wearing it, like last summer, I spend about 2 months wearing no make up at all, not even a BB cream, I won't be letting it go that far this time, but atleast 1 day a week maybe.

I hope this gives you some inspiration to have a no make up day soon,

Minimal Makeup Day!

Hello everybody! I can't even explain how busy I've been lately, so I've barely had any time to check Bloglovin or write any posts:( I apologise!
Anyway, today I'm just going to work and felt like having a 'natural' make up day if that's even possible, I've just gone for a really minimal make up look, just focusing on my skin and having barely anything on my eyes.

I've used :
Avon Flawless Foundation in Nude
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Revlon Bronze Glow Palette
Bourjois Blush
Gosh Brow Palette
Gosh Growth Mascara and Serum

And that's everything! Probably still looks like quite a lot of products but it isn't when you compare it with what most people use daily. Before I go, I just want to tell you how AMAZING the Avon Flawless Foundation is, I've been using it for about 3 years in between trying different foundations, but it's always been the one I inevitably fall back on everytime. It gives such good coverage and leaves a really nice dewy finish, not too shiny, not too matte, just perfect for my skin, (which is combination to oily)

Anyway, see ya's next time!
